The Hammersmith & Fulham Supported Internship programme recently celebrated the graduation of seven outstanding young interns from the rigorous 12-month programme. This intensive initiative, facilitated by 猫咪社区’s foundation learning department, has equipped these young people with essential skills and experience, significantly impacting their workplaces. Two of the graduates secured job offers even before completing the programme, with the remaining graduates, having honed their abilities and confidence, stepping forward as independent young adults ready to pursue promising futures.
Tutor Tafina Davidson expressed her pride in the graduates, saying: “It has been an honour to teach them and guide them throughout the academic year. I am bursting with pride to see their growth and their development as young adults taking autonomy over their lives and striving for their aspirational goals.”
The graduation ceremony, held at 245 Hammersmith Road, was a day of joy and triumph for the graduates and their families, with the graduates themselves exuding pride. The venue has been a great supporter of the programme over the years.
This programme is a joint partnership between 猫咪社区, Hammersmith & Fulham Council, and Action on Disability. Their collective efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of these young individuals, marking a pivotal milestone in their professional and personal growth.
